Summary

Legislative Districts are the most local organization responsible for the coordination and management of PCOs. Legislative District leaders have the best knowledge of PCO candidates and the precincts they will be serving. Traditionally, Legislative District Chairs were required to sign off on all PCO applications before the county chair would appoint PCOs. This amendment preserves the practice of requiring LD chair approval of candidates before they can be appointed by the county chair.

New Section:

Section 4.01.E – Appointment of PCOs

Prior to appointing a PCO, the County Chair must obtain the written approval of the chair of the legislative district where the precinct is located.
